This indigenous to Struma Valley, South West Bulgaria grape variety was created by the crossing of the ancient Broad Leaved Melnik Vine and the French grape variety Valdigue in the 70s. Fermentation and maceration on the skins took 18 days before being transferred for 12 months aging in new French oak barrels.
Serve at 18-20C alongside white and red meat dishes, charcuterie and cheese.
